| Job Description: | The Interactive Producer is the primary project manager and enforcer of the Production process. While size and scope may vary, typical interactive projects include Rich Media banners, websites and CRM campaigns. The Interactive Producer will own these projects from start to finish which includes managing resources, developing project schedules, owning partner and vendor relationships, creating the production estimate and seeing the project through to completion on time and within budget. Most of all, the Interactive Producer is responsible for the quality of the produced work, and ensuring the work has been produced to the highest level possible within the limits of time and budget.
Responsibilities:
The Interactive Producer is responsible for establishing the financial metrics of success for the project and working closely with the production team towards the completion of that goal. Of incredible importance is the need to define and monitor the team resources and keep the project on time and within the specified budget. With a project plan, estimate and (if needed) final media worksheet, the Interactive Producer keeps all project participants on schedule to the best of their ability.
The Interactive Producer must be decisive, diplomatic, and possess solid problem solving skills. This is the foundation for working harmoniously as a team player within a variety of different departments and teams (including creative, account, media, art buyers, programmers, designers and vendors).
The Interactive Producer will coordinate all business issues including contracts, licensing and vendor costs. They will ensure that all art, audio, and video are cleared through art buying and business affairs before being used in a project. The Interactive Producer is also responsible for the quality assurance of their projects, both for the content that is being presented as well as the technical nature of their delivery.
