| Job Description: | We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Web Marketing Analyst to work in our San Diego facility supporting our Consumer Tax Group. The person we hire will be part of the Online Advertising Team and work closely with the Marketing Analyst Community to focus on "what" data is needed to operationalize key strategies. You will develop solutions for meeting business needs, identify gaps between existing and proposed tracking and reporting and drive plans to prioritize and address the gaps.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Specifically provide analysis and recommendations on:
- "Behavior" metrics (like Omniture), looking for changes, trends and areas for improvement. Works with web marketing team to identify solutions and timelines.
- Outcomes metrics (including financial results from online marketing and advertising), looking for changes, trends and areas for improvement.
- Web test results (for ROI, product, price, promotion, messaging and more)
o Create, interpret and certify web statistics (web sites, online marketing programs including PPC, banner advertising, affiliate, organic search, web 2.0 and traditional marketing programs and integrate with the web, such as TV advertising). Identify trends, conduct business analysis, and provide information to drive/support business decisions.
o Drive mindset change to use end-to-end views to make decision that focus on Critical Few to have strategic impact.
o Work with the Marketing Leadership team to gather reporting requirements for web analytics requests, analyze these requirements and follow them through implementations.
o Contribute to Marketing Launch management process to continually update data being tracked for programs/channels.
o Create reports and analysis using Omniture (Web Analytics Application) and Brio (OLAP Application) and other available tools.
o Measure success of website and online marketing initiatives using data and key metrics.
o Monitor the quality and integrity of the data in the system and reports being published.
o Collaborate with Marketing Research, Web Marketing and Online Marketing teams to drive specific projects to improve Core Customer Experiences.
o Assist in automation efforts that Senior Management needs for reporting (Excel, extracts, SQL, etc). Create web marketing metrics and analytics dashboard with input from CP2 and marketing channel leaders; analyze and report holistically on a weekly basis.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:
o Proven experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation, testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research
o Experience in online marketing advertising, including PPC, affiliates, banner advertising, portal placements, Web 2.0 – Social Media and more.
o Experience in managing other people in an online ecommerce or online support environments with an established track record in managing teams of between two to four members successfully
o 5 years of Business Analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions/divisions.
o BA or BS Quantitative coursework (mathematics, statistics, computer science) desirable.
o Minimum of 5 years of IT industry experience, including
- 4 years OLAP experience (Brio, Business Objects)
- 4 years of experience with ClickStream analysis tools such as ClickTracks, WebTrends, Omniture, HBX, etc
- 4 years experience in data warehousing, data mining or quantitative research.
o Proven business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions/business units preferred
- a) understanding of stats / statistical methods;
- b) Business case development and/or financial analysis
o Experience regarding website design and its impact on the customer experience (e.g. navigation).
o Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
o Experience in matrix’ed organizational models a big plus
o Expert at Excel, Access, SQL Server, Oracle, a plus.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
