Our client develops and publishes the internet side of the business. They are currently seeking an experienced web systems analyst responsible for extracting, tracking, reporting and analyzing site performance, audience development, and quality metrics from the web that assist decision-making for several departments (e.g. marketing, advertizing, product development, finance, technology, ecommerce, editorial) including other Tribune properties, and provides daily, on-demand, and special reports to respective departments and executives.
Responsibilities:
Designs, implements, and leads web research studies
Analyzes and presents decisions to decision makers
Manages ongoing reporting operations and plays a key role in new research design
Identifies trends in traffic and site use
Generates regular and special reports and analyses
Works on routine and special projects, often in consultation with a senior member of the staff
Works independently to complete assigned analyses
Requirements/Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in statistical information research, reporting, and web-marketing
Proficiency in scope and definition and appropriate usage of syndicated market research data and research products and tools
Experience using one of more of the following reporting systems: comScore, Nielsen, Google analytics, and/or Omniture
Exceptional experience using Excel to provide reporting data for a variety of audiences and levels
Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and website user-response tagging and tracking
Must have strong grasp of sources of primary and secondary data that may be gathered and interpreted
Strong organizational skills to work independently to complete assigned analyses
