| Relocation: | yes | | Work Visa: | no | | Job Description: | The Vice President of Concessions will develop financially sound business plans that move the retail concession business forward, improving sales, turns, and gross margins. The Vice President of Concessions is responsible for converting insights from sales behavior analysis into actionable insights to achieve our objectives in the category. This individual uses these insights to develop/execute category strategies, create and update category scorecard measurements and targets, and to aid in decision making for all tactical efforts of the sales team at the customer level, including product assortment, merchandising, pricing and promotion. The Vice President of Concessions will be in charge of items like candy, soda, popcorn, and the other concessions that are sold in retail stores.
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply facility philosophy, principles and technology;
- Ability to demonstrate and provide examples of continuous personal development and improvement in each of the essential functions listed in the section below;
- Knowledge of and experience in the work of the service line; and
- Ability to demonstrate competency in financial management, leadership in an interdisciplinary environment, systems thinking and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Identify and develop an overall leadership structure and team. Leadership philosophies will be firmly grounded in a "team" mentality and approach.
- Develop and implement a strategic and operational plan for the concessions department that addresses: mission, quality improvement, financial performance, market assessment and analysis, human resources and information management.
- Develop, in conjunction with the human resources staff, effective human resources management plans and strategies for the concessions department.
- Achieve a financial performance and market share that is the local market leader and subsequently, a regional or national market leader.
- Benchmark key performance indicators and major processes in order to move towards best practices and assure consistency of these indicators across the nation.
- Assure compliance with all external regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility.
- Utilize continuous quality improvement philosophies, techniques and tools in all aspects of the position.
- Develop supportive working relationships with other executives and support team leaders.
Required Skills: Computer literate, detail oriented, self-starter, strong communication Skills, special proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Preferred Skills: SPSS, Oracle db, S-PLUS, proficiency with SQL.
