| Relocation: | no | | Work Visa: | no | | Job Description: | This position is responsible for providing analytical support to sales and marketing teams. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Analytics
Major activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the analysis and interpretation of secondary research data (national level audits/data, physician level data, patient level data, etc.) to identify business opportunities and threats for branded products.
- Liaison to Marketing and Sales leadership to intimately manage needs of the business.
- Champion understanding of treatment patterns in therapeutic markets of interest.
- Analyses include descriptive product analyses (trending, product performance and ad-hoc), benchmarking, behavioral segmentation, etc. Make strategic and tactical recommendations to brand teams and senior management, which drive long and short-term business goals.
- Collaborate with marketing research to produce collaborative reports and analysis aimed at understanding both the quantitative and qualitative market dynamics that influence franchise performance (i.e. Situation analysis).
- Coordinate with other members of Global Business Analytics to ensure communication between sales and marketing analysis (where applicable).
- Train and mentor Marketing analysts.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in health sciences, business or quantitative discipline strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of business experience in health care discipline.
- Must have or gain proficient knowledge of Pharmaceutical Global National and Sub-national data.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to present analytical results with clarity to a non-technical audience.
- Sufficient computing and programming experience using contemporary data mining tools (Excel and SAS strongly preferred).
Requires individual with strong analytic and data mining capability and understanding of pharmaceutical business. Requires customer focused individual who can communicate with and understand/direct needs of marketing and sales business partners. Must be able to break down business problems and use data to create insightful and informative reports and analysis.
