| Relocation: | no | | Work Visa: | no | | Job Description: | This position, reporting to the head of Specialty/Hospital Analytics, is responsible for conducting analysis of secondary pharmaceutical data in support of sales and marketing for hospital and specialty therapeutic areas.
Major activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct quantitative studies aimed at understanding market and brand trends within the hospital and specialty products.
- Manage business information needs of marketing and sales customers.
- Develop mastery of specialty and hospital data, inclusive of patient audit data, prescription and hosptial sales data at the inpatient, outpatient, outflow and spillover levels.
- Help craft analytic vision for targeting initiatives, inclusive of physician targets and construction of call reporting for hospital (new) field forces.
- Develop knowledge of healthcare industry trends within Specialty and Hospital Business Unit.
- Work with other members of Global Business Analytics to ensure communication between sales and marketing analysis (where applicable).
- Develop mastery of statistical approaches and use of software (e.g. SAS, VBA) needed to conduct in-depth analysis.
- Advanced degree in biological sciences with quantitative training.
- Demonstrated graduate level course-work in statistics. Superior communications skills with ability to work with multiple internal clients.
- 2-5 years pharmaceutical industry or comparable Healthcare experience.
- Must establish mastery of Pharmaceutical National and Sub-national data especially Wolters-Kluwer, Hospital-lev sales data.
- Demonstrated knowledge of comtemporary data mining tools (MS Excel and SAS software).
Requires customer focused individual with ability to work with population-level datasets to produce custom and ad-hoc reports and analysis. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere under management deadlines. Must have and/or develop hands-on knowledge of multiple sources of secondary data. Advancement based upon mastery of technical/analytic techniques and development of therapeutic area knowledge.
