| Relocation: | no | | Work Visa: | no | | Job Description: | As a Category Analytics Manager you will work with a top retailer while driving retail performance. You will be responsible for:
- Interpreting and providing the analytical detail of category and product performance
- Tracking product sales trends
- Reviewing margin and inventory turns for a major retail chain.
Other Responsibilities will include:
- Review category/product performance related to front of store trends in same markets, new item introductions, promotional opportunities, marketing fund allocations and growth plan development and tracking
- Perform quarterly category reviews
- Work with Marketing Team to analyze promotional programs/periods to determine retail lifts and ROI
- Recommend business decisions to category manager based on market data, internal sales and profitability
- Manage and organize UPC's within the correct store reporting categories
- Leverage Extra Care data base to determine shopper behavior, frequency, capture and conversion
- Work with store internal Store Operations and Store Planning on department size/layout and seasonal plan-o-grams
- Program analysis and store level execution (exception reporting)
- Tracking and analyzing test initiatives
- Conduct a minimum of 3 store headquarter visits a week
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 6 years experience in Marketing, key account selling or retail analytic position
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent.
- 2 years experience interpreting and recommending promotional strategies
- Excellent technical skills: knowledge of spreadsheet and database software
- Proven ability to apply data to real-life business issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent presentation skills, organizational and time management skills
- GMROI analysis experience
- Working knowledge of IRI or Nielsen market data
- Familiarity with planogram tools
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels; within and outside of the organization
- Proven self-starter and team player
