Job Description:Our Client is a rapidly growing financial services firm establishing their presence in the United States. Chance to become part of an organization and develop from scratch policies procedures and methodologies. You will be implementing and architecting the data environment you will bee working in. This is a chance to get it right from the start instead of inheriting someone else's attempt at building data cubes with Essbase.

The Financial Data Manager is responsible for the creation, security, integrity,
monitoring, problem analysis, and report generation of the Finance Division’s OLAP (Essbase) databases. The Essbase Administrator will work with each area within the Finance Division to help deliver a tool that makes the appropriate data available and provides the necessary functionality to ensure Essbase delivers the greatest benefit to the Finance community.

Essbase Environment
• Perform all system administration and maintenance functions on the Finance Hyperion Essbase Database
• Implement and customize database structure including data cleanup, load, security procedures and tuning; proactively monitors critical systems, and provides users with required data.
• Supervise the monthly and periodic gathering and input data from all source data points (systemic & manual)
• Provides and maintains all database documentation including business requirements, work flows, standard procedures, and user guides.
• Research and implement best practices related to use of Essbase product.
• Deliver user training as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data, meeting various reporting demands for each area
• Creates customized reports and delivers enhancements to the financial reporting mechanisms to address changing reporting requirements
Project Management
• Take lead role in the development of Essbase environment and in the implementation of any additional BI solutions.
• Identify & implement process improvements to support more efficient financial analysis.
• Provides and maintains all database documentation including business requirements, work flows, standard procedures, and user guides.
• Based on requirements, define appropriate calculations for key metrics. Identify where data resides and define format requirements for extraction.
• Departmental responsibility of being the Essbase liaison to senior Finance management to communicate responsibilities, requirements, schedules, etc.
• Perform special projects as directed by Finance management

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or financial discipline required.
• Expert knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Report Writer, and MS Excel is a requirement
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experience with analytics in Bank Cards or related financial service industry combined, with an understanding of a credit card P&L a big plus.
• Ability to handle variety of responsibilities and drive success with limited resources in a matrix organization.
• Candidate needs to possess superior analytical and communication skills with ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization; customer service skills; organizational skills are a must.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
