The Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, documenting, and communicating the business requirements and defining the appropriate business system solution. The analyst will work directly with the business client, project manager, and software engineer to define and communicate the business requirements for projects. This person must have a broad understanding of subject areas throughout the business and work closely with the business clients. In addition, the analyst must have a good understanding of the corporate ERP-centric technical solution direction and work closely with various levels of IT staff. The business analyst also has responsibility for viability/feasibility estimating for proposed projects as well as participation in the actual development and testing of business solutions.
The qualified candidate will have Bachelor's Degree or higher in MIS or related field and the following:
- 4+ years progressively responsible IT experience;
- 3+ years experience creating business data and process models using the following techniques; JAD facilitation, Data Flow Diagrams, Work and Process Flow diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Models, Sequence Diagrams and Activity Diagrams, LEAN Sigma, Use Case development;
-3+ years adhering to a structured life cycle methodology including eliciting, documenting, and communicating business requirements and future state process definitions
- Experience in delivering ERP-centric software projects (especially SAP), including the package solution methodologies;
- Experience in gathering technical requirements and building business case and justifications (ROI);
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written (including technical writing) communication skills;
- Familiarity with relevant development technologies: (Java, COBOL, ETL, OLAP, Web, XML, Web Services, Microsoft Office);
- Knowledge of user interface design;
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail;
- Strong experience in testing competencies, especially user acceptance;
- Ability to work within a team structure and ability to multitask;
- Ability to lead and delegate;
- Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills.
