Using Numeric’s Job Search

This is a full job description search. You can use as few or as many of the search criteria fields as you wish. If you get too many results, you can use the Modify Search button on the right side of the page to narrow your results by selecting more search criteria.

Use the Control key in any drop-down menu to select multiple items.

Keyword Search
This field searches for keywords in the job title, all fields, the full job description and requirements. You may type any words you’d like to search separating words by a space only (no commas, semi-colons or quotes). You may use as many words as you wish.

Select how you want to search for those words in the drop-down box: i.e. “any words”, “all words” or “exact phrase”. The default is to search all words.

Example keyword searches:

  • "Manager SAS SQL" – note there is no punctuation and you may select to search for all or any of these words.
  • "Account Manager Search Marketing" – here is an example for an exact phrase search
  • "Linear regression SAS SQL" – this is an example of keyword search that could be for "any words" or you may also select "all words"

Category
This is a drop-down menu of the searchable job categories. To choose multiple categories, hold the control key and click each category in which you want to search.

Type
Choose the type of position(s) for which you'd like to search (permanent, contract, project/part-time) to narrow your results. Making no selection in this field defaults to all types of position.

Position
This field is based on position level by general title. The default is to “all”. To narrow your search, choose one of the selections in the drop down. Use the control key to select multiple positions.

Job Num
Use this field if you know the Numeric assigned job number for which you are searching.

Search Results: Detailed Description
Click the job title to see the full description of that job.

Sorting Search Results
You may sort the search results by clicking any field heading at the top of the results list. You may only sort by one field at a time. Results will be sorted by alphabetical or numerical order (depending upon field chosen for sort).

New Search
This button will clear our current search results and selections and take you back to a blank search page.

Modify Search
Using the modify search button on the right side of the page will take you back to the search page but will keep your previous search selections and keywords.

Job Cart
To apply for any positions you need to add them to your job cart. You can add as few or as many jobs to your cart during your session as you wish.

Adding a Job: From the detailed job description page, you can add that job to your cart by clicking the “Add to Cart” button at the top or bottom of the page. You will then see that job title listed in your cart.

You may continue to add as many jobs as you wish.

Removing Jobs from Cart
If you decide you do not want to apply for a job in your cart simply select the check box next to that job in the delete column and click update cart. This will remove any jobs with a check mark in the delete column.

Applying for Jobs
Once you have all of the jobs you would like to apply for in your cart, click the “Apply for Jobs” button at the bottom of the Cart. This will launch an application form. Fill in your information and attach your resume in word format. Once complete, click the “Upload Resume” button which will submit your application for all of the jobs in your cart.

Submitting a Resume
If you would like to submit your resume to Numeric, without any particular jobs to apply for, use the Upload Resume form under the Career Services section of the site. Fill in the necessary information and attached your resume in word format. Click the Upload Resume button at the bottom of the form. Your resume will be saved in our database.
